About Us
I “really like” NJ Project
The “I REALLY LIKE NJ” shirt declares the love (or at least the like) we have for our home state. The project celebrates the towns we are from and the wonderful people who reside in them. In the wake of the Real Housewives and Jersey Shore, these portraits show the other side of us.
How it began…
I REALLY LIKE NJ was inspired by the New Jersey Song, by Sara O’Brien. Sara had a vision and graphic designer, John Crawford made it a reality. What started off as a “band” t-shirt for the Sara O’Brien Band transformed into a mission that has inspired community and collaborative arts projects throughout New Jersey.
The photo Project
Denise Guerin, photographer and mother of three, began photographing people in NJ shirts solely for the purpose of marketing the brand. That purpose soon shifted and what started as a business partnership became a creative collaboration of portraits, stories and community building.
